Dr. Rizzuto was born in Upstate New York. He completed his undergraduate studies, graduating with honors from the State University of New York at Binghamton, receiving a degree in Biological Sciences. He graduated from medical school at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse and was selected into the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society.
Dr. Rizzuto completed a five year residency in General Surgery at the University of South Florida in Tampa, after which he became board certified by the American Board of Surgery. This was followed by a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Louisiana State University in New Orleans.
Dr. Rizzuto then sought additional training in cosmetic surgery, completing a one year fellowship devoted exclusively to cosmetic surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital on Manhattan's Upper East Side in New York City. Here he underwent further specialized training in aesthetic surgery of the face, breasts, and body with some of New York's finest Park Avenue cosmetic surgeons. Dr. Rizzuto is one of only a select few plastic surgeons in the country who have undertaken formal fellowship training in aesthetic surgery.
Dr. Rizzuto moved from New York City to Bradenton, where he has been in practice since 2005. Dr. Rizzuto's practice includes both aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, with special emphasis on aesthetic surgery of the breasts, face, and body, as well as breast reconstruction and reconstruction for skin cancer.
Dr. Rizzuto has active staff privileges at Blake Medical Center, Manatee Memorial Hospital, and Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Rizzuto is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Rizzuto is double board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Rizzuto is married with two children. He enjoys running, golf, and spending time with his family.
